'So which ten items would you like to buy?'

Wouldn't it be great if that happened more often?

Now, don't you feel better?
I was at the grocery and my basket was full. I was told by the cashier that she was closing so go to the other lane. I did. There were a couple of people ahead of me. By the time I got to the counter and was able to unload half my groceries, there were 10 people behind me with small purchases. The cashier - in a very loud voice - stated that this was a 15 items or less lane and to put my purchases back in the cart and move to another lane. Needless to say, the manager was no where to be found! I told him that she had said to get in his lane but he didn't care. I was SO embarrassed!!! Every one was snickering and making comments. I reported it to the manager later, but I NEVER get in a line like that again. I will leave the store first.
