So sorry about your family member. Back in the late 50's my brother fell off of his bike and fractured his scull (no bike helmets back then). He almost died but he made a full recovery and is now in his 60's. Modern medicine has progressed since then so I hope everything will be OK!!

Started the 'crumbs' last night after getting home. I got 2 done.
This is exactly why I like making the crumb quilt squares....it is relaxing because you don't really have to think too hard while doing it. I haven't actually made a quilt with them, yet, but I've been having fun making lots and lots of crumb block squares.

Same block after trimming. The 'trimmings' go back in the pile to make more crumb blocks!

I love your blocks in the crazy patch technique. It has wonderul fabrics and colors-yum! I consider crumb quilts slightly different, more random scrap pieces sewn in a non pattern style which is different from mile a minute techique where an odd scrap is sewn to a strip and then joined in larger sections, but whatever style you enjoy using all the scrap pieces are beautiful in the end product. I throw all my scraps into a bag and pull one out at a time. I sew it to the next scrap. I have only one rule and that is no two alike scraps go together. That is the only time I can put the scrap back into the bag and pull out another.
