As long as I have a place to sit and quilt, I don't mind the fabric laying around!!

My children call me a hoarder, as it is hard to get into my sewing room.
I have been teased that when I die they are going to get a dumpster and throw it all out! Of course, they get a rise out of me. So, I have cleaned out my sewing room. Given material, sewing crafts, yarn, that I decided I would never use, to assisted living homes, and to some churches. I know my children are teasing. They were right, I did have too much of everything. I am going cold turkey about going into the material stores.

LOL, I'm in the same boat. Somedays it is just easier to pick a pattern and go to the store and buy material specifically for the pattern. Looking through the stash just confuses me more.

I can't remember the last time I bought a pattern and lately I have been playing with my scrap fabrics and stash. Well so was the case while I was on my year long maternity leave. I returned back to work two weeks ago. So I would imagine I will be back to buying at the LQS and online again!! got my first "REAL" pay cheque here at work after returning off of mat leave.. so I am going SHOPPING .. yep for fabrics and new work clothes LOL

I do not have a huge stash but I do have enough ideas that I cannot make up my mind where to start. Many are in the same boat.

I have a smaller stash, with only 2 wips, and material for 4-5 quilts-I feel very overwhelmed and want to finish them all! sometimes i look and think "will I ever get them done?" ....and then I see a new set of fabrics :)

You are not alone. I have limited storage space so when I reach my limit it is time to clear out. I give unwanted, (You know the kind "why did I buy this") to charity. I just got a bookshelf that I have organized my books on. I am all ready for when I retire. That will be in about 8 years.
