Go For it. My 18 year old grandson road his bike from Ohio to New Mexico to start college and had a wonderful experience, He had all the bike maps to follow. Good luck and safe travel.-- J.

Billy, you are getting antsi after having to stay cool all day. Don't think you are necessarily crazy, but agree that 100 miles repeated day after day can be tough....think Tour de France which starts next month.

Have a great time and hope you wear a helmet.

Trust me I already know that one from my mountain bike. Right now I am clocking off 20+ a night on mine (mostly wooded trails) and it only took one day to figure that one out!

Yes love I am getting very antsi right now and have resorted in riding at night to keep from getting too hot and in the sun. But I will be going to the doctor week after next for my final okay and then its back to normal I hope.

But I am going to wear a helmet and the stupid biker shorts

Do you have a tablet or netbook to keep in one of the bags? What are we going to do without you? Just think of all the reading you'll have to catch up on if you can't stay connected. I miss one day and the VSMS is 8 pages ahead of me. You'll be traveling through some awesome country side, so you should really enjoy it.

One of my friends does a lot of long distance road trips - he got one of those little helmet mounted cameras so we can relive his trips. Pretty cool. Looking forward to your follow-up stories.
