If you want to go bigger, buy something that works with what you have and make more blocks to go around. I think if you just add big borders, your pretty star would get lost More carpenter stars or may e some log cabins. Make sure you get enough fabric for them! ;)

It could be a do-it-yourself round robin, of you could join one to see what others add to it. Look under RR pictures to see how they look. They are gorgeous, and you don't need to be an expert to play.

I love it as it is, and think it is a great wallhanging.
I don't know how picky you are about colors being a good match or compliment. I am picky! If you are picky I would be afraid anything you add will make you a little ticked off in the end. You might always look at it and think, "I don't like how that doesn't match..."
Only you can answer that!! Good luck whatever you decide. It is very pretty now!
