Ditto that. My fabric comes almost exclusively from online. If I need fabric for a back or just some coordinating piece, I go to Hobby Lobby only on 40% coupon weeks.

My local shops don't have the selection I want, are way too expensive, and seem a bit too snooty for me. If all I need is a quick spool of thread and am in the LQS neighborhood, I don't need to be looked at like I just came from the wrong side of the tracks.

I buy Davids fabrics at Wal mart and I shop Joann's, We also have a store called Good's in Pennsylvania and I got reasonable Kona by Hoffman there. Also picked up Moda another time. The quilt shops are just too expensive at about $10 a yard and up. David's fabric at Wal Mart is under $5.

I have several quilt shops all within 25-30 miles, so I can take my pick. My local WalMart never lost it's fabric and there are 2 JoAnn's within 20 miles of my house. Is there any wonder why my stash is getting out of hand? I live in the country BTW. Lucky, huh.

I shop at Joann's, Marden's, thrift stores, consignment shops and yard sales. I like to see and feel the fabric before I make my purchases.

I am very lucky to live in an area that has lots of quilt stores. We also have JoAnns and Hancock fabrics. Bend is the hub for all of us who live east of the Cascade Mountains so we have more than our share of good stores.

But I also shop online. My favorite is Piecework Fabrics. They have great sales regularly where the fabric is $5.95 per yard.

Lots of places but my favorites included my favorite Ebay fabric seller, and some other online sites that the others have mentioned. Love to go to quilt shops too. Yesterday my
DH and I were in Lancaster Oh for the day and I found a nice little shop- she had tons of Moda- my downfall!! :D
I fabric shop whenever I travel- no matter where! :)

Me too. My last order had a wrong piece in it. When I contacted them they said use that piece with their compliments, and the right piece is now on it's way to me. I love that kind of customer service.
