Going with 80year old parents to their beach house on Emerald Isle to clean up the mess from Irene. Make sure THEY don't overdo it. Had planned on quilting all weekend-looking for small project to take along.

I will be in Seoul, South Korea on Labor Day. My husband is going to work and I am going to shop! I lived there for two years so I know just where to go shopping for fabric. There is an incredible 7 story wholesale fabric mart that is just amazing to shop in. Prices and quality are great! So excited!! Looking forward to being there...but not the 13 hr. flight.

I am heading to Indy, my home state. My Doxie had puppies and 3 of them are coming north. So I will be traveling with 5 little puppies. LOL. This is going to be so much fun when we stop at a rest area, since its only me.

I'm headed up to the cabin Thursday evening and plan to quilt in a comfy chair out by the lak (I hand quilt). Weather is supposed to be low 70's and sunny with overnight lows in the mid to upper 50's. Can't wait!

Our church picnic is in North Buena Vista, Iowa. It was raided in the 70's before gambling was legal. Father was arrested. We have not had beer since 1989. It's better with out beer. Guttenberg had the only Catholic grade school left in Clayton County that we support. Our town population is 150. 12 of those are kids and 25 dogs. I take pictures for the church and take about 400 that day. I meet so many different people and see friends I don't see much otherwise. Some of the ladies from church hand quilt the quilts they auction off. They get together once a week in the winter to quilt. Our church has put out 3 cookbooks since 1980 and are currently selling all 3 yet. This year the ladies made 278 pies and they already gone before the picnic. They sell them frozen.

It's been a long time since I attended the Bluberry Festival. We lived outside Culver for about 3 yrs in the late 70's. I still remember those blueberry donuts.1
