I have the Simplicity cutter and bias tape maker. Don't use the bias maker that much because I usually do the double fold on binding. I feel the Simplicity bias tape maker is really over priced and the feeding tubes to get differents sizes are really to expenses. Since I got my Accuquilt Go I hardly ever use the cutter. Probably have about $150 in both of them.

I have one (simplicity) I LOVE it. I like to match the binding to the last border on my quilt. I think it makes them look more professional..I find it very easy to use. I not sure how much it was, Santa got it for me. LOL...

I bought theSimplicity bias tapemaker and really like it for quilt binding (you need the extra part for that size) I also make bias tape for clothes as well and, if you use it enough, it pays for itself. Right now Hancock has everything for 54 per cent off. You might call and inquire about the price or check some other

when you cut on the straight grain, there is one thread running along the edge and it wears out faster. If you cut on the bias, there are several threads crossing over the edge, and it wears longer. Hope that helps.

I have the Simplicity Bias tape maker. I love it, but I don't use it for the binding. I make a lot of bais tape for other things. I like my binding to be double folded.

I really like the non-mechanical simple bias tape makers that Clover has .. simple .. effective .. and inexpensive .. they come in many sizes. They do have them at JoAnn's.

I have used these with the special adhesive tape that is made for the tool and have found the very best hint I ever recieved was STARCHING! If the bias strip is starched before you feed it through the gadget the fold really stays in place. I use these bias strips for vines and celtic patterns outlines. For quilt edges I always use the double fold WOF strips. Best of luck!

I recently bought one and haven't learned how to do it It was about 125 at Joanns I like the next ladys thought though I have a fight with the bias each time I put one one and it never looks right.

Google 'fusible bias tape maker' and a video from "Clover' demonstrates how to use the tool. I have both types and find the one for the fusible tape the easiest to use.

I have several different sizes of bias tape makers. I have had them for about 30 years. I use them all the time. They are similar to the Clover ones except all metal. Once you get the fabric started you just slide it along with the tip of your iron. I have probably made miles over the years.
