It sounds like this little machine found exactly the right home. You two deserve each other. Can't wait to see what you create together.

What a beautiful tribute you wrote! I feel somewhere she is smiling down on you and being ever so glad you have her machine!

Are you a published writer? If not you certainly should be. What a wonderful tribute to the woman who originally had your "red eye" and assurance that it will be lovingly cared for. If you can please post a picture when you get her up and dusted off. thanks for sharing your gift with us!

Don, you have a wonderful way of expressing yourself. Thanks for doing this. Perhaps someone will read it who can relate to it and tell the lady (who may or may not have had this machine) and she can know her loving work was not in vain. I hope you and miss Penny will live many happy years together, and enjoy one another as you do now.
(from one who also has had a sensitive, caring husband of 59+ years). Blessings, Roberta Marie

beautifully said. I guess I haven't thought enough of the previous owners of my vintage machines.

Please: Write that down, word for word, just as you've put it here, and keep it with that sewing machine forever. What a treasure as is your tribute to them - the machine and the Dear Lady who took such good care of her.
Thank you for sharing that with us.
