    That is the old OHIO STAR quilt pattern done in two tones.--- in recent yrs quilters have used and renamed it about a million times but it is still Ohio Star.

    Quilter's Cache has several of these Star in a Star blocks. It looks to me like this was a personal pattern rather than a purchased one.

    This is my kind of quilt - lots of stars, but I'm afraid I can't help you with a book it was in. Good luck - someone out there should know.

    Think this is a Judy Martin pattern. Not really sure, though.

    I think Judy Martin had these Star in a Star block in a book from many years ago! :lol:

    I just checked Chapters online book store, and Judy's book that this quilt is in, is not available anymore. When I go to guild next month, I'm checking our guild library for Judy Martin books. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!
