Well you have already seen every thing I do because I have used all of these methods. You will learn in time which you like best.

I had the Kwik Sew series of books for my grandchildren and I purchased a bolt of red dot and traced all the patterns as they went to different sizes. I still have the books and the patterns and can't decide whether or not to keep or sell them.

[I] trace all my patterns onto freezer paper the size I want, cut it out and then press to fabric, cut it out, (use small rotery cutter as goes around armholes easier) nice not having to use pins, can keep the freezer paper pattern, can be used several times. or use for another project like applique.

I have traced on freezing paper and light weight pellon. They work great for getting different size patters.
