I don't have time to do a tute right now, but what I did was to choose 10" background (I used different prints of beige tone on tone material) squares. I then cut out 3 size circles using mostly small floral prints. 3", 5" and 7". I centered the 7" circle on the 10" block and sewed a 1/4" seam around it. Then I cut the back circle of the of the background block about 1/4" in from the 7" circle stitch out so there would not be too much thickness. Then I centered the 5" block and sewed it 1/4" in and the same with the 3" circle. Thus having a raw edge on each circle. I then cut the blocks in quarters (making 4 - 5" squares from the original 10" block). I will attempt to do a placement of the small blocks when I finish this quilt. Thanks for all the kind comments. I believe I made at least 25 -10" blocks. It was originally supposed to be a lap quilt but I am trying to make it a queen. I have made several blocks after the original ones. Sorry I can't be more specific. Thanks again.
