I read a good novel years ago called "The Moonflower Vine.". I think I'll try to find it again. Thanks for the reminder!

I to think they are Moon Flowers also and they are just beautiful do they close up during the day my Sister has Moonflowers and they only bloom late in the evening and at night

I looked at some different photos of bindweed and angel trumpet and I think that after seeing the folage I would say this is an angel trumpet. Bind weeds leaf looks more like a morning glory leaf and the alley flower does not. I have never seen this plant. very pretty.

After seeing this I changed my mind. Now I think it is Datura or Jimsonweed.

Datura, and it is VERY Poisonous, even the seeds. Wash your hand after handling the plant.
