    GGal my DD and I worked so well together on the weekend, I sew the HST's while she sewed the little 4 inch blocks with the yellow strip. When she had finished them she started sewing the HST units in to the star blocks, and then we sewed the rows together her working from one end and me the other and then sew the two pieces together.

    the final photo was taken as all the tables had been packed away, the floor vacuumed but we weren't budging until that top was completed.

    This morning we sewed the final 2 borders on, 1 inch yellow and 4 inch blue border.

    Sounds lovely. Mirabelle. Love t see the photo of it. CarrieM, sounds like you really had your sewing machine in high gear, hope you show us more pictures, too.

    Oksewglad, wonderful news about your mini-quilts in the auction. Wow!! the buyers won a great treasure for their monies well spent.

    Very happy all the PC quilt retreat people had a good time. Hoping we hear more and see more photos.

    I got home at 9:30 tanight from my retreat. We all got tagether & sewed 15 jellyrolls race quilts for Project Linus. We all also worked on our own quilts . I didn't work on PC blocks even though I brought 'em. Every body liked 'em. I gave Debbie a PC book o' her own! I did finish all the quiltin' on my nieces quilt. I hope ta git the bindin' on it this week. (I know, famous last words... ) I took my camera but forgot & didn't git a single pict. atall. I stopped in Bridgeport & visited one o' my BFF. I hadn't seen her in 6 yrs. That was awesome!

    QNS--Yes that looks like blue to me.

    Dublb--It sounds like you and your group made some GREAT progress this weekend!

    Here is a picture of myself, Ggal, and Crystal...well actually 2. I thought I would include the further back one so you could see more of the quilts behind us. Crystal and I are in our "bum clothes" and Ggal was getting ready to go home for the night. It was soooo nice to meet Ggal in person and get to know her better. Maybe someday we can plan a retreat with Laurie Hird and show her all our FW and PC quilts. Plus meet each other IRL.

    The quilts behind us are samples of the patterns in Lynne Hagmeier's new book...Loose Change. She is using the precuts and doing raw edge applique in most of them.

    It was great fun! I've ordered the book Carrie mentioned and can't wait to try it with some of my scrappy stuff. I'll cut some FQs into the right sizes though before I'll experiment with precuts. Oh, my. Another project I hadn't planned on.
