Such a happy looking quilt. Wonderful applique and beautiful quilting. Happy to hear you did not loose to much in the hurricane. Your quilt can win at another time. I am living on Staten Island and I must say I was blessed during Sandy, no power for about a week and that is nothing more than a inconvenience. Some of the elderly people who lived near the beach lost everything and may end up in a nursing home as a result of this.

Beautiful quilt and quilting. Hope everything is ok by you after Sandy. You will have to enter it next year.

So glad your ok. SI got hit hard as well! I volunteered at Queens College after Sandy hit. They had a shelter there. Most of the people were from Far Rockaway and some Breezy Point. So sad. They lost everything. They only had a cot to sleep on and and everything they had left under their "bed". They had lots of clothing for the people and they even micro-chipped the pets!
