1936 must have been a very good year-----me too, y'all--and I think I might have a 1936 FW; at least I have all the lady's purchase papers, sewing classes, etc. that came with it. But it is "well used, and put away wet"......

Hi, almost twin! 1936 was almost over when I was born (12/12) ~ but in 2012 I had the once in a lifetime birthday of 12/12/12! And those 3 add up to 36. Quite a coincidence, I think! When is your birthday?

What a lucky find. With a little time to dry out it may just need some fresh grease & oil. Ask for help in the vintage area.

Featherweights are very civilized machine and very easy to learn to use. I have 4 of them.

Lucky, lucky you. Make sure you keep her oiled and she'll purr like a kitten.
