Thank you all! Yes, we finally got out yesterday. My husband got to dialysis and I finally went back to work. The blizzard was quite an adventure and I am so thankful that we never lost power.

Someone asked if I used fabric from my stash. The answer is no. Several years ago, my sister gave me a jelly roll and the other fabric to match to make the quilt.

    Y'all have a wonderful day.

Nicely done. I too got lost of quilting done in the 2013 blizzard, as we did not lose power or electricity, unlike thousands of others who did. As soon as I figure out how to post pictures, I'll send a picture of the log cabin quilt I finished over the weekend. I just put the borders on yesterday, now to sandwich and quilt it, but I have a great sense of accomplishment, especially since it was a quilt kit I bought many years ago. I needed a nice, easy quilt to do and this fit t e bill, didn't even have to do any rotary cutting, well, except when there were extra pieces left and I managed to make 4 more blocks to make the quilt bigger, however, I needed one 3 x 12 strip to finish the 4th block, but fortunately I found something similar to use, so now I have a nice big quilt for the couch to cuddle under.

love the quilt top! i think the "extra border" made by your railing looks really good and would be easy to add on. just thinkin'.

Sympathies to you. I am also in Connecticut. Manchester got 32 inches of snow. I didn't sew one thing. I'm so bad. I love that pattern and have the kit with a Moda fabric from about 3 or 4 years ago. I should get to it huh?

Great job you did on the quilt and it is in my colors. Where do you hang out, Close to Home or Quilting By The Yard?
