    I wouldn't worry about the corners on the squares, because overall the prints make perfect triangles with perfect points. So there!

    yes indeed if every square has the corner cut off it is a design decision not a mistake, however if you want to see how to make a block like this without the corners cut off Quilt in a day has a free video that shows you how..it involves the center "square" be a rectangle. Happy stitching!

    As long as the squares are consistently cut off, it is a design innovation. Don't sweat the small stuff. It is beautiful and cheerful and surely will be appreciated because it was made with love and gratitude for someone who did a large favor.

    If you hadn't mentioned it I never would have spotted the cut off corners. I'm sure he will be very pleased with the quilt.

    I really like it. Because all of the squares have the same corner missing, it looks like that was the intent. If anyone asks, I'd say, of course I meant to do that - it's the latest trend, you know!
