Both are lovely quilts. I've done SID ever since I started machine quilting and the quilt police never fined me for going a little outside the ditch - just go for it.

Good work. I love the way you popped the leaves out. IMHO, ditching it is harder with frame quilting. May I suggest going back to quilt those stars without the frame, maybe 1/4" INSIDE the ditch.

I have had an autumn quilt on my agenda for a while now. Maybe it is time for me (along with laceybritt) to move it into my to do soon list. Your quilts are just beautiful. Enjoy!

Both quilts are just gorgeous! I like the Christmas one as you have fussy-cut the blocks. They look beautiful. Did you make up the pattern or did you have one to follow? I have a panel with squares and this gives me wonderful inspiration for using them as the star centers. Thanks!
