I guess it's just a quilter thing. We have a shop that is moving, I went to look and ended up buying 95 yards, they had it for 80% off and I just couldn't resist. Now have enough for all my backings.

No, we do not have a sickness, we are very smart and wise and purchase on sale so when we are ready to make something, we already have the fabric. SMART, SMART, SMART

My feelings about fabric is this: Quilting is my therapy, and it's cheaper than going to a therapist! I also want enough fabric to have on hand in case the shops run dry and I can't buy anymore. I have a years supply of food why not a years supply of fabric for my hobby that will keep me happy during stressful times? That's why I don't stress out too much when I buy fabric!

The county forced me to buy fabric last week. They made me report for jury duty 2 blocks from a quilt shop, settled the case out of court and sent me out on the streets before 10 AM. Well, there I was in a town 20 miles away from home, just me and my check book and that quilt shop just down the road......

I'm so glad that I didn't see this thread until the sale at fabric.com was over as I have put myself on a fabric "diet". But I do have to say if an excuse were needed BETTY62 has the best one, in a case such as that I too would have caved.

I too cannot help it, I am good for awhile then it hits
    FABRIC Binge!

If I became a zombie, instead of rambling around calling "Brains, Brains, Brains", i would be calling "Fabric, Fabric, Fabric". BTW it is the sale that gets me too!!

Living here means shopping for fabric online. I purchase almost all fabric in the US. So Seaside gal, moving to the UK (or the Netherlands) only works if you can't get online
Well it was worth a thought. The Netherlands certainly is a beautiful place.
