You picked a tricky one and it turned out great! Adventures lie ahead, so keep up the good work!

Well, you have done a fabulous job on your first quilt. My first one looked nothing like yours, mine was ugly, badly done, and is long gone. Yours will be treasured forever. Just a thought, you call this your first quilt, there are lots of 'first quilts' here, but there are no 'last quilts'. There is a reason for this. You have been infected like the rest of us, you now have been bit by the quilting bug. There is no cure. You will have this all your life, but there is good news. As long as you continue to make quilts, the symptoms are manageable. Failing to continue to make quilts can cause palpitations, stress, anxiety, and a loss of purpose. Just keep going and we will cheer you on in your suffering as our newest "quilting addict". Lol! Great first quilt! Welcome to the board.

You did a wonderful job. I would never have chosen that difficult pattern for my first quilt project. Congratulations.

I agree! I'm a long-time quilter and I tend to avoid triangles since my experiences have not been good. You should be very, very proud of your first quilt----it looks great!!!!!! I love the back, too....nothing wrong with an unexpected back on a quilt!

To be honest, I didn't know that triangles were difficult - I guess ignorance is bliss. I had more trouble with the process of the layers, quilting, and binding. Ooooh the binding! Thank you everyone for such nice comments and encouragement. This is definitely an addicting craft, and one that deeply moves me. I have a greater appreciation of those who came before me, and the rich history that interested me to try this craft. Thanks!
