I have too many favorites to list, but O Holy Night is #1. It was my moms favorite too. Love all of them though. Favorite for handbells is Carol of the Bells.
Love my radio station that plays Christmas music continuously from Thanksgiving night till Christmas.

Probably "O Holy Night" altho I love every traditional carol. I have a huge collection of Christmas albums going back to the '50's when I was a little girl and really should play them more. For me the official start of the Christmas season musically is my first hearing of "Jingle Bell Rock" by Bobby Helms on the radio.

I love Sleigh Ride, specifically the instrumental by Leroy Anderson - I think it's probably one of my all time favorite songs period!! (But it has to be that Leroy Anderson version - with the horse whinney and cracky whip noise!)

For me, it's not the start of the Christmas season until I've heard Andy Williams singing "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year". But my favorite for reminding me of the reason for the season, is Nat King Cole singing "Away in a Manger".

I'd like to add to my earlier answer two rarely-heard carols, "The Star Carol" and "Some Children See Him".
