God Bless 4-H leaders. Your patient instructions certainly paid off.

Tell her another congratulations is sent her way! WOW!
I'm trying to teach a 17 y/o girl in our church to make a quilt, but don't think she is quite into it yet. She doesn't seem to take the initiative to just sit down at her sewing machine and practice. Maybe one of the days.

Congratulations on a beautiful bag. She must be so proud of this accomplishment and grateful to have such a caring, patient instructor. You deserve to be congratulated too. How wonderful that you have encouraged this young woman on her path to a life long love of sewing and creating!

How wonderful!! Give her my congratulations on a job very well done. I learned to sew in 4-H, made my first simple outfit at 9 yrs. old and have loved sewing ever since. Hopefully you have instilled love of sewing in this young lady that will last a lifetime. Congratulations and Thanks to you also for giving her instructions and encouragement. You deserve a ribbon for your efforts.

I loved teaching the children when I was involved in 4H. I continued to teach them after I resigned, I just could not continue in the local program. (Could no longer tolerate the bureaucracy.) Thank you so much for carrying on the banner. Kids are like sponges and just absorb and are so eager to learn and please. You are both to be congratulated. Thanks for sharing.

    Thumbs up

Beautiful construction on this bag, love the color too! Thank you for encouraging her and teaching her to be precise! I know when I make a mistake it will always bother me so I take it out and make the correction until it is right!! This is a life lesson not just a quilt lesson!!!
