    Love seeing the beginning quilter pictures. You have certainly picked a good one. It is one you can work on during all your "waiting times," e.g. waiting for hubby, waiting for program on TV, waiting for doctor, you get the idea. I am making one too and that is where I get most of my hexies done.

    I started with Marcia Macluski? sp? feathered star and didn't quilt again for years. Then got on with learning strip quilting and loved it when I had purchased tools to make quilting fun and easy.
    You are making a heritage quilt right out of the box, grandmothers flower garden? More power to you, you ROCK!
