Such a pretty design! I searched Judy Martin Kentucky Log Cabin, and came up with this pdf link. I thought the border looked really pretty on it, but I'm not sure how to do it.

Love this quilt. I've not seen this pattern before - but you've done a beautiful job with it. My only thought on the border is to keep it simple - to keep the focus on the quilt itself.
Thanks for sharing....i'm putting this pattern in my notebook!!

your quilt is lovely and I have not seen that log cabin arrangement before... love how you worked the cabins in. You should post another photo once you get your borders on...

I love that. I have been gathering fabrics to make a log cabin quilt for my husband and was going to cut 1 1/2" logs. I don't think I would have the patience to cut them any smaller and then assemble. Beautiful quilt.

Thank you for the pix, cat! The pieced border on the original pattern is rather busy, IMHO, and I was thinking piano key border....I think I may need to make it even more simple though, now that the blocks are together. Decisions, decisions! Haha. It's already twin size, and I will be quilting on my DSM, so I can't make it too much larger or I won't be able to handle it. Love this pattern, and I will most likely make another in more traditional colors.
    Elaine-don't be afraid to do 1 1/4" strips....it really isn't difficult-you are still just sewing/cutting straight lines!
