If you want it all in purple hues my Favorite color, then perhaps a light orchid, or a deep purple. If you don't mind another color, then I think a light yellow or gold would be pretty. It is your quilt and totally your choice. Just put some of the colors suggested with the colors of purple you are going to use and see which color you like best. Be sure to share your finished quilt pictures.

red was the traditional center, but you can use whatever you want. I would lay out the fabrics and see if some color pops into your head. Something that would compliment and yet contrast. Audition some colors either from your stash or even your clothing to get a better idea. Just remember, it is your quilt, so it is your choice!

I am the rebel, I would use small acid green center squares to make the purples "pop"!

Beautiful quilt! I have to admit, I am leaning towards red, but I am a long way from deciding anything. I haven't even played with my stash to decide what fabric I want yet. Just doing some brain work first.

Thanks!!!

I would use yellow or gold. They complement each other.

Snooze2978, what a pretty quilt! Is that the disappearing 4-patch?

Traditionally the center square was intended to be the window of the log cabin. White, yellow, etc. Of course I don't usually do traditional log cabins, so any color works. I like the other suggestions here.

I think that a gold would look great. Be sure to let us know what you decide. BrendaK

What I was about to say. It would represent the "light" in the home.
