Update. The quilter who quilted The Christmas Mouse quilt called it a panel from Moda. Actually, the Sugar Plum fabric line was designed by Moda for the Bunny Hill pattern called The Christmas Mouse. It looked too good to be a panel.

It is so sweet. I wonder if I dare pull all my greens and reds and see what happens.

I have a quick question about this gorgeous quilt. Did you quilt before you appliqued? I want to learn to do more than stitch in the ditch and was curious about your technique.

I've given my christmas quilt to my sister in law and don't seem to have a photo, but this little quilt I stitched from men's ties and hung in my shop every year. It was a pull out pattern in a magazine, but I've seen similar quilts here this year so someone must have a pattern.

I also have a table runner from hexies I put out on the antique treadle in the entry.
I love this use of men's ties.

Thanks, Teen. Don't be fooled by the designs of the ornaments. They were printed on the fabric, so it was an easy wall hanging. Your Santas are wonderful. I have collected Santas for many years, mostly hand made wooden ones, so this is particularly appealing to me. And your scalloped border is lovely. I've never attempted one.

Rhiela, your quilt is so beautiful. I love the simplicity of the 2 colors. It's very festive.

This is such a fun thread. I have always had a fondness for Christmas quilts. It doesn’t matter to me that they are only out for a short time.

I love all the Santa’s. I don’t have an extensive Santa collection but I do have a set of Santa Russian nesting dolls that I got at the open air market in Moscow, Russia many years ago. I have a few hand made cloth Santas but not an extensive collection like some.

Audsgirl or teen, if you want to share with us your special collections, please do. It is still championing craft.

The Christmas Mouse quilt is actually a pattern by Bunny Hill. After so many were interested I did some searching for the Moda Sugar Plum panel. It was the professional quilter who called it a panel by Moda. Although, Moda created the fabric line there is not a panel.

The pattern was a collaboration with Moda to use their Sugar Plum line. You can see that in how they used the prints to make the candy canes and have ornaments on the trees. Very well done and I am wondering what it would look like in other fabric.

I hope this helps those that were interested.
