I fell in love with this and have pulled fabric do to one of my own. I'm planning on useing a piano key border that sort of finishes off the diagonal of the blocks.

Macybaby, there is one on Pinterest that shows that. For the way mine turned out, I thought that would be anti climatic for mine. Did you see that I did not change the half square triangle on the lighter gold blocks and left them in. It would change the quilt a great deal if I would have made them a lighter color. But they are part of the darker circle on the darker stars.

This pattern is so fun, I'm tempted to make a green one and see how that turns out. Marcia

Quilt top is complete with dark red border. Now am making this lattice work which will add 4 inches on each side. It is very difficult to sew. There is an up and a down, left and right and three strips. Must be 8 ways to sew it wrong.

that's a very pretty border. I love that red/gold fabric!

The way the red/white fabric looks like lace is what really attracted me. I looked at quite a bit online and then played with the pattern in EQ8. Ended up making quite a few changes.

Here is a sneak peak at what I'm doing.

That lattice border is going to look great with the top. I can't wait to see it together. So great that you found something that you could settle on and be happy with.

Looks right! It goes dumbbell row, hourglass row, dumbbell row, hourglass row, with alternating stars in between. Perfect.

    Beautiful quilt!
