Thank you so much everyone!!! Your comments were heartwaming. It's my first attempt at applique so I am pretty darn proud of this one. I don't have the roosters in my kitchen but in my family room. I started with a gorgeous lamp with a rooster that I just had to have. Then I found gorgeous prints and the room took on a life of its own. I don't refer to it as a country look but a "dressed up country". Crazy I know but I love it. Believe it or not some of those roosters were even done with Asian fabrics. Thanks again !!!!! Debbie

Wow, this is great, both my Mum and I have always kept chickens, my Mum has embroidered several large ones on panels but she has not made a quilt, I am going to show her your quilt, she will love it!

The inner border is the same as the cornerstones and the outer border is dark (black actually) and matches the belly on all the roosters.
Now I just need to quilt it. I'll echo quilt the roosters and figure out the borders soon.
Hope you enjoy this. Your suggestions give you all a piece in this quilt. My family room wall can't wait to display it.
Wow this is an amazing quilt!!! great work!!!
