We had the gal who wrote the books on the one block wonders speak at our guild meeting last week. She was good and funny and I really enjoyed seeing the quilts she brought with her from Minnesota.

Oh oh oh oh oh. It's absolutely incredible!!!!! Can you post a picture of the original fabric(s)?
I'm currently working on a OBW using some Africa print (has leopard, zebra and giraffe skins in it, but no faces). I really like your idea of appliqueing on faces of animals.

Newest nana - here is a picture of the original fabric that you asked to see.
Yes, the animals will be appliqued on top of the blocks. Cute buns was the instigator and the one answering all the questions at the beginning of this adventure. The book is called One Block Wonders Encore.

That is one amazing quilt. There is no way you could "describe" that to him especially a non quilter who hasnt seen a OBW before..and you embellished it with Applique which adds to the unique quality. He will be THRILLED.
