We are such a varied group here! (Part of the fun...)

    I like:
    nature sounds (especially crickets)
    Native American flute
Folk (Folk Alley is a good online source)
Ecuadorian Inca music to pick me up
    Finlandia by Sibelius
Anything by Ralph Vaughan Williams especially "The Lark Ascending"

See, I can't make up my mind about ANYTHING, it seems...

when I'm driving I like country or pop music.
When I'm trying to sit and destress, elevator music will do.
When I'm sewing, - new country, not the old draggy stuff the dinosaurs used to listen to over and over...
When I want to dance with grandbabies, give me 50's+60's rock and roll hits.
I like 'popular' bluegrass, but otherwise pass on that.
    Never really listened to opera.
Won't listen to hard rock, rap, or heavy metal! or what my youngest calls "booty music"...her sister listens to that.
I also like the really good show tunes from the past.
My dads whole side of the family sings...well, my mother does too.
She has already had me and my brother record a song she wants played at her funeral! We joked a lot while doing it.
I hope it makes us smile when that day comes :-D

Susie, please tell me you meant to type your husband's snoring, not scoring! :D

I hook my IPOD up to speakers and put it on shuffle and listen to whatever comes around.

I noticed that too and my mind got joggled and said
"Old ladies always!" I busted out laughing:lol:

I can't believe no one mentioned Springsteen. I could listen to him all day.

This depends on my mood... somedays it's bollywood, some days its Dean Martin, Louie Prima, The Rat Pack, Sinatra (if I'm really in the mood) The beatles... Beethoven, Mozart... Michael Buble... Bollywood... lol Really depends. Music from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, The King and I...

I don't think your old. I'm not yet fifty and I don't mind Sinatra, Martin, Crosby or Cash. My favourite is Australian country especially Lee Kernagan. It sounds so different to America country. Not better just different. My DH loves Tammy Wynette.

I have pretty eclectic tastes...nature sounds, Leonard Cohen, instrumentals (violin and guitar)...the list is long. I like talk-back radio as well...but sometimes the sound of silence ('cept for the hum of my machine) is just the ticket.

I just don't handle noise, so I just sit in the quiet and relax that way. I think dealing with my 24 yr old on a daily bases has mad me want quiet all the time now. Penny
