What a great find. I bought one a year ago 1951 off E-bay and I love using her for quilting and taking to classes. Enjoy your "new" Peggy Sue.

I think I agree with everyone here, especially quiltsRfun. I have never used a featherweight, but there our 3 in my office (Orthotics and Prosthetics-we fabricate alot of products ourselves.) I think, I will speak with one of them to teach me how to operate one of them. I also can kick myself with steel toe boots, I found one in my mom's attic, it was said that it was my great, great grandmothers. I thought it was an old crudy machine and I left it behind when I moved to NC. The more and more I find myself quilting and looking at other sewing rooms, I see them everywhere. I made such a poor judgement call!

Sincerely,

Stephanie

I am so jealous! Someday I hope to find one (that I can afford) and I think I would name her Eunice after my Grandma. **Sighh. Have fun with her. She is a beauty!

She's lovely! Years ago, before they become collectibles, I traded my mom's featherweight in for a Viking. What was I thinking! :XD:

I have one, thanks to my wonderful MIL! It is the best for a straight seam/stich. You will LOVE it. It is the only appliance in my house I can count on!!!
