    Actually they are not fussy cut. You layer identical pieces of fabric (4 layers for the Birds quilt) and cut either using a template (which I used for the Birds quilt) or squares, triangles or whatever shape is required for the block. The wallhangings each require 8 layers of identical fabric for the centers. It's fun to do and each block is always a surprise! Maybe that is why I like this type of block so much - a nice surprise every time!

    The purse pattern is Yin-Yang Scrap-Bags. I first saw this done up in a stunning Laurel Burch and a batik. The LQS was out of that fabric, but I just had to do one myself! The pattern is available on Ebay, or check your LQS.
