I lurked for a long time before I felt comfortable posting anything. I have since met one member, and had dealings with 2 more. I try to limit my time online and now have to. Can't spend to much time online while trying to house train pups.
I love looking at all the quilts. Maybe one day I will get back to quilting in the mean time I live vicariously through all of you.

Hey Alley Cat. I'm from Iberia Parish, Louisiana. So you joined in '08 and haven't posted??!!! You really do have control. I'm just a blabber mouth (or should I say blabber fingers) who is having so much fun with this board. And I've learned soooo much -- especially how kind and helpful quilters can be.

Guilty as charged. Been a member for quite some time but I don't think I have ever posted. I don't 'visit' the board, I read the messages in digest form and spend at least an hour doing it. I love this forum. Will try to find time later in the day to properly introduce myself.

Oops, I too am a semi lurker. I tend to watch and listen to all and then post to very few. The work and advice here is remarkable and I have truly learned alot. I have been quilting about 10 years and am just now learning to follow the rules! LOL I think an art quilter lurks within me. Damn the rules, full speed ahead. See, I just broke the "take your time" rule. I am a rebel with a cause...to have fun. Thanks for all the tips and advice.

hahahahah in one of my post I said that I am always 32 years old because that is when I got upstart. When I found this board, I joined right then on the spot. This board is great, how could I not join now!
It does take some time away from my sewing but that's ok, I have to take breaks for company now and then and this is the best company.

I must admit I am a Lurker! Being so new to quilting I am learning so much from this board so maybe in the future I can add a bit of beneficial advice like so many of you are doing now. One thing I learned in quilting my first and only small quilt...the use of straight pins definitely doesn't work when pinning it together! I had pin pricks all over my arms so made a special trip to the quilt store to buy the curved safety pins!
