I would use a bright color - that redish orange (or is it orange/red) of the flower print.

Now I need backing. Thanks

Now this works! It pulls the quilt together. I love it. Bind it with black and you have a beautiful quilt. The problem with the purple fabric was that it did not relate to any of the other blocks. Also the pattern was to chopie and took the attention away from the tranquel look of your quilt quilt. Sew away!!! :-D

Yes, you put your finger on it! I couldn't figure out why but that's it.

I really, really like the color of the purple, but the design is a different type floral than the others in the quilt, so it doesn't quite fit the same way the large multicolor floral does. However I'm wondering if the large multicolor floral would overpower using it as a wide border. I think that may be why others suggested using one of the greens (or a similar multi-tone green). And I agree that binding with the black would be the perfect finish.

The floral border is beautiful - I love it with the quilt top. Although I liked the purple and white fabric, I couldn't stop looking at it long enough to admire the quilt as a whole. Definitely make another quilt out of it, though - it IS very pretty!

I really like the black and the purple border. The photo makes the black appear to be really wide for inner border. Maybe if the border were a little narrower, it would not overpower the blocks. Of course, I am not looking at this as you see it, just seeing from photo. This is a beautiful quilt and the black sure makes the square pop!! Please post final so we can all drool.
