Ohhh that is just too cool! I love cherries -- they are in my kitchen and dining room. Do you know if the pattern is available -- could do a table topper :_) Thanks.

Adorable! I am getting obsessed with vintage looking fabric, quilts and aprons. I love anything with cherries lately. Maybe it's just a phase I'm going thru.

Thank you! And, no, there's no pattern. It's just an Irish Chain variation with the applique blocks where the empty part would be. I drew it on graph paper and went from there.

I just started a little quilting business and named it "Sweet Cherry Quilts". I picked that name because I grew up in Michigan and my first job as a kid was picking cherries on my grandparents fruit farm. I have decided since my first job was picking sweet cherries my last job would be "Sweet Cherry Quilts".
You live in a beautiful area and your quilt is beautiful as well, thanks for sharing it with us!
How awesome! We always got our Michigan cherries from the stands. My mom makes homemade cherry pie filling with them and we either eat it on cheesecake or in pies. They are special treats as they are kinda expensive so we don't buy tooo many of them. I love the name of your new business!

I have some cherry stuff, too! My dishes and some other little things- sugar holder and stuff.

Nope- no pattern. You can get the cherry design itself on Flickr here:

And then just make an Irish Chain around that square. I had originally made the cherries for my Cherry Surprise quilt (on here somewhere) and the white was different so I had to put the little black strip so that the difference wasn't as noticeable. It went together really fast because I was strip piecing.
