I plan to finish most of my UFO's and reduce my stash of charm squares in every size from 2" to 6-1/2" that I've accumulated over the years. Of course, I need to use up more fabrics in my stash like the flannels and homespuns that I simply had to have. My goal is to do more sewing this next year than I've done in the past couple of years.

My 2011 resolution....I will try to keep it realistic.

    1. Finish quilting Star Struck quilt for my father.

    2. Two baby girl quilts finished my Feb and March. I will be using large HST's left over from "Flowers for my Mother" quilt for both of them.

    3. Have my nephew's quilt cmpletely pieced and ready to start quilting.

    4. Start piecing my oldest nieces quilt that I have the fabric for.

I think that is realistic for me and hopefully very doable.

Good luck to everyone with their resolutions. And to the OP, Whooo Hoooo, can't wait to hear more about your book.

Choose a pattern from my NEW quilting books that fits my color ideas. Am anxious to get to a material store. I live 30 miles from JoAnne Fabrics and 15 from Walmart so want to have a pretty good idea what I am looking for. I have no stash to choose from.

I am going to start and finish my first quilt - finally completed the fabric selection today. Oh and my daughter just spoke up and would like one as well - just after I get the first one under my belt

I want to be able to sew next year and just let DH bitch!!
Then again, if I didn't take care of the neighbor lady and also my mom, I would have time to sew when DH wasn't around!

Not to start anything new until at least 3 presents - one wedding quilt almost pieced top, & Christmas ones for my 2 DGDs are finished off. Trouble is yesterday I got a lovely new book which promises quilts very quickly (I've read that before) and I'm already thinking about colourways. I must be strong and resist. Hope you had some quilty type pressies too. Happy New Year to you all. God Bless.

To return to making quilts for Vets, wounded Soldiers, and Hospitals. That is after a quilt for one on my hubby's employees that has a 10 yr with cancer. That is my first project after all Christmas decorations are put away and home and at DH's Clinic

I will be quilting all (OK, many) of the tops waiting to be quilted.
I will shop from my own extensive fabric collection. I bought it because I loved it and if I'm tired of it, I donate it.
Manage my time better. Sew more, snack less!
