[quote=RST]I don't like jigsaws -- there's only one right place to put each piece. I love quilting, because there is always a different variation, another solution, some little fix for what you didn't like. To me, it's a completely different mental process.

I agree. I've never liked jigsaw puzzles, but give me some fabric or even just a pattern book and I'm happy. My VBFF gave me a book of 5,500 quilt blocks for Christmas so I'm in heaven.

Hand waving like crazy. I get almost as obsessed with jigsaw puzzles as I do quilting.
My 4 yr. old has an obsession with puzzles too. He got 10 dollars for his B-day and he bought 8 new puzzles at the Dollar Tree. He probably has 50 puzzles in variuos sizes. I hope this means he will be a quilter too!!

Oh, my. I love puzzles too, but since I've started quilting I haven't done any! Didn't think there was time or room. You guys are the best...as soon as our last Christmas family gathering is over, I'm getting the card table out to get one going!

Try the Quilt Show with Alex and Ricky. They have a puzzle about once or twice a month. You can either do it with rotating or non-rotating pieces. It usually takes me 30 or so minutes to do the non-rotating. Rotating just takes up too much valuable time. Could be quilting instead!

I do the National Geographic puzzles on the computer every day. There are 10 new ones a day. Between them and this site, I don't have much time for quilt related activities. Ha! This way I don't have to buy them and find a place to store them. I can work them and then delete them. There is a site that has quilt puzzles, but I can'tremember where they are, and just happen onto them. When ifind it, I stop and work on them and then go on.
