My daughter will LOVE these, she just finished her first REAL quilt(see pics), is married and mom to a 2yr old daughter. She and her husband are into Goth type stuff. This quilt has appliqued coffin shapes and the black and white print is skulls. The backing is fleece with a skull print. Her husband picked out all the fabrics(she did not like working with stretchy velour at all- a great lesson learned!)
She is also a knitter, and I agree, I may have to make her a knitting bag out of the "Knitting Pirates" fabric.
I don't care for or appreciate the skulls theme, but love that my 22 yr old is appreciating fiber and fabric arts and learning skills passed on from her mom and grandmother!

    Good morning ladies,
I have a good one for you----my nieces deceased husband (killed in July in a car accident) was majorly into skulls...See his website www.iwantyourskull.com/
and www.ryanaugust.com/ to see what I mean.

There is a huge following for this art type that obviously the younger generations know . I personally don't see it or understand the fascination, but to each his own. I would buy some of this type fabric as novelty if I were making something in memorial for my niece or my grand nephew, but nothing else.

My son and his wife would love this stuff. They enjoy Halloween more than any other holiday. Scarier the better! And they really are quite sane the rest of the year.

My first thought on the first posted fabric--aha, the quilt police!!!
