very pretty!! I when making a quick or small quilt for children/babies I also use fleece as the backing and no batting at all. It quilts like a dream on my sewing machine.

I love your pinwheel quilt. I am making my first pinwheel and am having a problem with lots of "bulk" at the center where the points meet. Did you have that problem? Any suggestions as to what I can do to help with all that bulk. I am sure it is going to be a problem when I start the quilting. Thanks for any thoughts you might offer.

Yes, I did have problems with that bulk at the center when i did the FMQ. I broke 3 needles before I figured out that the needle was braking every time I was trying to pass through the center of my pinwheel block. after that I avoided going through that area.
I also used Warm and white for batting and it might have been easier to FMQ without that. Good luck!

I love that little flange you put on. I have put one in several quilts I have made, as I think they can add a wonderful little pop of color to divide the center from the borders. I like your quilt a lot!! Good work!!
