As someone has already mentioned, feathers in the light colored logs is a very pretty log cabin quilting pattern. Then do something more personalized around the center block. With that said, I am not a quilter, so what do I know? I have to send all my things out to be quilted.

Beautiful quilt!! I think and I'm not an expert in this, but just an overall meandering would be good. Not to tight, but a loose/larger one.

just beautiful! I really love the applique' in the middle, the flowers are very different..great job, I think your friend will love it!

Hi Izy, that turned out pretty! How about SID the dark sections, feathers in the light. Outline the applique and stipple the background of that block?

Wow!!!! I love the quilt. I especially like the way you cut and sewed the pieces with the hunting dogs so that they stilled showed. Excellent :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:
