I've been asked where I got the pattern for "Patchwork Heart" and here I'm posting my snapshot (April 2003) of a Memorial Heart painting on the side of a building at the site of the former World Trade Towers. The 4-block pit is behind the high fence. I estimate the Heart to be about 5 Stories High.

This huge Memorial Heart was my inspiration for Patchwork Heart

I just want to let everyone know that I'm almost done with my lap quilt for my mom. I'll have pictures of the top up either tonight or tomorrow. :) Whoo hoo - almost have one Christmas gift done!!

A note to anyone who received a lovely 10 minute block with red stars - there's an interfacing on the back that melted to my iron. I wasn't upset with the gunk on the iron, but at the mess it made of the pretty block!!! So please be careful!! I feel miserable about it.

And here's the top I made. Had to add one churn dash that I made (thank goodness I had an extra) because of the mishap with the gorgeous block.

It'll be quilted this week, and bound next weekend (at least, that's the plan)

There will be a white border added, but I'm really happy.
