this solarium is actually very small... we have been here for 16 years... I have sewn garments for that long for my kids (they are now 11-25 years old). This room has been a playroom for kids, then my graphic design studio, now my sewing lair. Of course it got so bad the sewing machine is now on a table in the livingroom just so I can work on projects.
The solarium is only 9x8 so I have to utilize all the space very wisely. When I am done, I am hoping to have accomplished three goals:
All fabrics organized and routed thru;
all WIP / UFO's found and decide what to keep/eliminate; and
room for 2 machines to be setup, one for piecing, one for embroidery... with ample space to swap machines for serger when I need to do clothing.
I will still have to have the big table setup in the livingroom when I am doing final quilting, tho, this room is too small to work on a big quilt!

Wow. I'm almost embarrassed to call myself a quilter. I only have about 3 shelves full of fabric. And 3 drawers and a box or two--all kinds of fabric. The rest of my 9x10 room is computers and machines. Oh yes, and a couple shelves of books and music from when my passion was playing the dulcimer.
