    No I did it freehand. I found it helps when you have a confined space to work within. I had the long strips of blank space to do the sprial flowers and the bricks to do the ribbon candy within. If I had to do an all over design, I'm no sure I could get it even, we'll have to see. I may try that next. I have a laser light to do pantagraphs but I haven't tried that yet. I somehow don't think I'd like working at the back of the machine. I think I read somewhere to use the blue painters tape to mark boundarys with.
