You are two funny. I'm sure glad my DH doesn't touch anything in my sewing room. Even in the kitchen we have scissors for "food" and another set for anything and everything else And I do have to remind DH where the everything else has been from time to time so he doesn't use them on anything I put in my mouth.

Yup, provide a pair of scissors for every room in the house that others can find easily (keep in sight not a drawer) and very emphatically stress anyone even touching my sewing scissors should fear for retribution. :)

Many years ago my mother bought me a pair of the good Gingher scissors for my quilting addiction.
Now - several years after that - I went into my quilting area and was searching for them. My DH was into working on pocket watches at this time. I went into his "watch room" as we call it, just to make sure he didn't grab them. Sure enough, there they were. I took them back, only to find that he had cut fine wire with them.
I got him a pair for Christmas that year. Yes, the good Gingher ones. He opened them up, saw what they were and said, "These are too good for me to use." At that, I got up and snatched them from his hands and said - you are right! Don't use my scissors anymore!!!
Needless to say, I am enjoying my new scissors and No, he hasn't borrowed them since. (grin)
