All of us from time to time have needed help from friends and family.
My mother tells the story of the folks' early wedded days.
Shortly after marrying, my mother was working cattle on horseback - - long story short, the horse fell backwards on top of her, three days in coma, five years of ranch work, three children and convalescence.
During that time, my dad's parents did many things to help the folks.
One day, mom asked Grandmother - - how can I ever repay you for all you have done for us?
Grandmother's response: " You can't. But, one day you will be in a position to help someone else. Do for them what you can, just as we have done for you." (my paraphrase)
I think the wonder of my grandmother's response is: The years were in the early 1950's; long before "Pay it forward" was a movie concept.
Fact is: The history of mankind has existed because someone cared enough to help someone else - - usually because their spiritual heritage encouraged it. <wave>

True True. What you GIVE AWAY, in effort, time or love, is NEVER WASTED. That's my philosophy.

My Mother was one who did for others, all her life, and she lived to be 97 1/2. What a blessing to have been a part of so many lives.
