I have several pieces of Dick and Jane fabric, as well. I think I was originally going to make a wall-hanging for my kdg classroom but never have. Last summer I decided to make a bow-tucks bag with it. I will get around to it one of these days.

I learned to read with Dick and Jane. No, kids today would have no idea who they were/are. But, to be very honest, looking at the materials I am given to teach reading with to my students...there is alot of 'crap' out there.

I can imagine. I just left an elementary teaching career last year.

I would do a large wall quilt. The whole collection is too precious to want to have to continually wash it due to using on a bed. Send us pics when you complet it.

I think it would make a fun Kindle cover or library bag.

Don't know what I would make, but I would sure like to see what you end up doing. I teach phonics and reading to kinder - second grade. Dick and Jane books are some of their favorites. They love to hear how people really dressed and looked like that when I was a little girl!

My daughter has made a couple of totes from the Dick and Jane fabrics, her own designs, and each one is different. She gave one of them to me, the other to my sister. They are just precious, and bring back lots of precious memories.

What's the fab shop hop? I've never heard of it.
