I hand quilt almost all of my quilts, to me that is what quilting is about, I do really enjoy my piecing as well, I take a pattern and make it mine, by doing different things with it. I am also hand piecing a grandmothers flower garden, I figure it is a 10 to 15 year project, as I only work on it when I am away from home, my take along project. To me the hand quilting and sewing the binding down by hand
is the complete finishing to a quilt. Just my preference

I do both. I like hand work to do when watching TV and take hand piecing with me every where I go. I just have to keep my hands busy.

Love hand quilting but can not do an even job. So my quilts are machine quilted by quilter.

I only hand quilt, takes a little longer, but I enjoy the process.

I hand quilt since my quilts are made for myself, family and friends. I think it adds another layer of personality to the quilt and makes it special for the person receiving it. I also get to escape into my own little world when I start quilting. :-) I finally broke down and bought a Roxanne thimble which I dearly love!!! I know it was pricey but I've spent enough on other thimbles that I could have bought 3 or 4 of them. I'd recommend this for any hand quilter.

I hand quilt maybe 1/4th of the time, both piecing and quilting.

I hand quilt and just love it. I have always hand quilted. I will however do small pieces on the machine. But I prefer hand quilting, it is more traditional.
