    WITHOUT....IMHO, this detracts from what is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL quilt.

    Without for sure.... I love it though... have a preference for purples too. It is soooooo cooling.

    you need something to separate the border from the quilt put the darker purple you have on the stars in the middle then it ties all the colours together. Very nice job...
