I'm in Bangalore, which is in the southern part of India. I'm here on business for two weeks to teach some of our Indian employees. The weather here is splendid - 70's and maybe up into the low 80s. I will so miss this weather when I have to return to the US at the end of this week.[/quote]

My granddaughter came from Madras, now known as Chennai.
We are so lucky to have her and we remind her often how lucky she is to have been adopted by our daughter and now live in this wonderful country. Although we do remind her not to forget from where she came......

Several of the people in the class that I'm teaching are from Chennai. It's at a lower elevation than we are so it is hotter than blazes there right now. Everyone from India is so kind to us here, though, it really is a different culture from being back home. The Indian people are warm and welcoming in so many ways.

I went to India for about three weeks just before I started college on a Girl Scout Wider Opportunity. My favorite places of all were Mysore and Bangalore. It was such a great experience for me and especially a good experience just before I started college. Really did make me appreciate what I had. Although it is a beautiful country with a rich heritage as well. (I brought home a few textiles wish I could skip the long plane trip and go just to shop for more, now).
